The Analysis Toolpak ships as a part of Office, so there's no download for it. Do a search in your OS/Office drive for Analys32.xll. Once you find it, you should be able to use that in the add-in browse location dialog.

Hello, I followed your instructions for downloading the Real Statistics Resource Pack, but I am having trouble in performing a logistic regression for my dataset. I get the message: Compile error in hidden module. I am using Excel 2016 on a Windows machine and so I downloaded the Real Statistics Resource Pack for Excel 2010/2013/2016/2019/2021/365 link. Please can you assist me?

Hello, although I see the application in the Ribbon and the window Data analysis works fine I get the message compile error in hidden module for any type of analysis. VER()=8.4 Excel 2010/2013/2016/2019/2021/365 Windows I used the Real Statistics Resource Pack for Excel 2010/2013/2016/2019/2021/365 link. It seems a great tool ( thanks for sharing) I wish could use it!

Hi Niki,Can you send me an Excel file for your data for any of the analyses that you are running? Also please tell me which analysis you are conducting. I will try to figure out what is going wrong.Charles

When I want to extract the main components, an error appears that describes: a run time has occurred. the analysis tool will be aborted. the types do not coincide if someone could do me the favor of advising me

This usually means that you have downloaded the Real Statistics add-in, but have not yet installed it. Please look at the Installation instructions and/or Troubleshooting section on this webpage.Charles

Hello Antonio,I am not sure what Data Analysis menu or dialog box you are clicking on. To access Real Statistics you can press the key sequence Ctrl-mOther ways of accessing it are described at -statistics.com/real-statistics-environment/accessing-supplemental-data-analysis-tools/Charles

The command will now be displayed on the Ribbon. If you click on it, the Data Analysis window pops up, listing 19 analysis tools which are linked to functions designed to analyze data using various mathematical formulas.

The Histogram analysis tool counts occurrences in each of several data bins. It calculates individual and cumulative frequencies for a cell range of data and data bins. The output is a table and column chart by the frequency of occurrences.

The Two Sample for Means analysis tool performs a two sample z-Test for means with known variances. This analysis tool is used to test the null hypothesis that there is no difference between two population means against either one-sided or two-sided alternative hypotheses. If mean variances are not known, use the Z.TEST function instead.

Significantly, the data analysis functions can be used on only one worksheet at a time. If you do a data analysis on grouped worksheets, the results will appear on the first worksheet and the remaining worksheets will display empty formatted tables. To analyze data on the remaining worksheets, recalculate the analysis tool for each worksheet one by one.

FastQC aims to provide a simple way to do some quality control checks on raw sequencedata coming from high throughput sequencing pipelines. If you plan to use Excel for more complex statistical analysis such as t-test, z-test, correlation, or regression, the Data Analysis ToolPak will provide the appropriate statistical macros to focus more on interpreting results and less on meticulous Excel calculus.

1.) Statplus by Analystsoft. You can download a free version of the StatPlus addon by a Analystsoft. I performed a few Histograms with this software and I was highly disappointed with the functionality of this software. It is nearly impossible to follow an example from an instructor using Excel on Windows.

3.) Bootcamp + Windows + Office 2010 . Sound like a pain? It is but, if your a ECU student its free (other universities have simular programs). The plus side of this option is you can use other Windows specific applications with it. I have not tried this so I wont get into specific of how it work. First you will want to download Windows 8 (for free) from -itcs/Software/microsoft.cfm . Also, you will want to download Office 2010 for Windows as well. Install Windows in bootcamp, then install Office in your Windows. Its a lot more work than it sounds but I believe they actually have a Mac version of Windows 8 specifically designed for this application. You can do Google search for more info on bootcamp and installing Windows on a Mac.

Very often, an Excel add-in is packaged in a zip file. If you download a zip file in safari it will automatically Unzip the file and you will find the add-in in your Download folder, if not double click the add-in and it will unzip.

The first thing you need to do is to select the Input Range; this is essentially the data we want to run in the analysis. You can highlight the labels in the first row if you want (more on this shortly).
